Valley of Fire is considered Nevada's oldest state park. Only an hour north of Las Vegas, it is a "must see" if you love nature and rock formations. For me, this is better than all the casinos combined!

The Cabins
Now a picnic area, these historic stone cabins were built with native sandstone by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s as a shelter for passing travelers.
